CPI & RNIB are delighted to be hosting the UK’s Accessible Publishing Conference on Thursday 17th September 2026.
In the National Year of Reading, we couldn’t think of a better time to discuss books in all their accessible formats and the importance of giving your customers choice.
- International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) reports just 5-7 % of the world’s published information is fully accessible to persons with print impairments.
- The World Health Organisation reports that globally, at least 2.2 billion people have a near or distance vision impairment.
- The UK government reports 6.3 million people (around 10% of the UK population) have dyslexia and 1 in 6 adults has the reading level of an 11-year-old.
The day has been designed to arm publishers with the knowledge to pursue accessible formats and provide an introduction on topics such as accessible design and sales avenue.
On the day you will hear from over 20 speakers with backgrounds and industry experience in accessible publishing, in panels and presentations. Importantly, the day will cover print and digital formats.
